von Markus Eck (01.04.2006) Allerhöchste Zeit wurde es, dass die beliebten Schweden um Vokalist Johan Hegg auch ihre eigene DVD auf den Markt bringen - denn die energischen Live-Shows der fünf Viking Death Metal-Fachmänner sind nicht umsonst stets gut besucht. Klotzen statt Kleckern ist seit jeher das Motto des Quintetts, daher wurde mit „Wrath of the Norsemen“ gleich die absolute Fan-Vollbedienung zusammengestellt: Das luxuriöse 3-DVD-Set kommt mit tollem Cover samt einem zehnseitigen Booklet im speziellen golden laminierten Slipcase. Visueller Hauptinhalt der fetten Amon Amarth-Packung ist eine in Köln aufgezeichnete Show vom letzten Jahr 2005, welche mit elf Kameras gefilmt wurde - der längste Auftritt, den die Schweden je absolvierten. Ganze 23 Stücke wurden da vor restlos begeistertem Publikum zum Besten gegeben.
